International chess player Niklesh Jain is working as a chess writer, analyst, commentator and journalist for the last 12 years. Niklesh has covered important events like World Chess Championship, Chess Olympiad, FIDE World Cup since 2009 and has also interviewed world's top players including five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand, Women's World Champion Ju Wenjoon.

In the year 2010, he won the BuddhiInternational Chess Tournament between players from 5 countries in Gamphaha, Sri Lanka, in 2015, the World Chess Federation awarded him the second highest title of trainers FIDE Instructor. Niklesh has been the coach of the silver medal winning Indian team in the World School Championship held in Russia in 2016, and was one of the three coaches appointed during the Indian team's tour of Russia in 2017. Niklesh was the official analyst at the 44th Chess Olympiad held in Chennai 2022.

Nikesh has been writing articles regularly in Punjab Kesari since 2016 and is also the head of Hindi department of ChessBase India, Niklesh has written more than 6000 articles on chess so far.
